Charrette ends, public process continues.

Thank you all for participating in the charrette last week!  For those who were unable to attend our pin-up presentation on Wednesday or didn’t have a chance to share their thoughts, we will have more opportunities to get your feedback.  Now is your chance to be heard and help shape the future of Union Square. And, please feel free to share this with your friends and neighbors.

The charrette was the middle-step in the creation of the Union Square neighborhood Plan. The city staff and city’s consulting team spent three days working to create a whole set of different ideas for areas throughout the neighborhood, from streets and bike lanes, to historic preservation, to new development opportunities. We’ve put all the ideas up for you to see and to provide feedback.

There are three ways to give us your thoughts at this important mid-point in the Union Square Neighborhood Plan process:

a. Review ideas on the website:
Visit www.somervillebydesign.com, where we will post the pin-up presentation, along with all the ideas that we drew during the charrette. Participants can download our feedback form and comment on any of the plans.

b. Come visit the drop-in gallery.
If you are busy, and just want to drop in for a few minutes, view ideas and fill out a feedback form, come by and do that at the Union Square Post Office. The Post Office site will be open:

** Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm **
Additional dates may follow

c. Come share your thoughts with your friends and neighbors.
We will have an open conversation and discussion about ideas generated during the charrette on Thursday, March 19th at 6:30pm.

And, lastly, save the date for our follow-up open house on May 13, 2015. More information coming soon

Thanks again to everyone and look forward to continuing the conversation with all of you!
